Jeff DeMond is CEO of Vyve Broadband, a portfolio company of Brown Brothers Harriman Capital Partners. A seasoned telecom executive, with nearly 30 years of cable and broadband experience, Jeff has spent much of his career building and growing multiple system operations in non-urban US markets, South America and Europe. Prior to co-founding Vyve Broadband, he was President and CEO of Bresnan Communications until its purchase by Cablevision Systems Corp in December 2010. Jeff originally joined Bresnan in 1985 as Director of Finance and was later elevated to CFO, President and ultimately CEO. During his tenure with four successive Bresnan companies, he oversaw the acquisition, financing and integration of numerous domestic and international communications businesses, including telephone and cable investments in the United States, Chile and Poland. These included equity investments by financial investors including Providence Equity, Quadrangle Group, TD Capital, The Blackstone Group and Credit Suisse First Boston and by strategic partners such as Tele-Communications, Inc., AT&T Broadband, Comcast Corporation, and TCI International (now Liberty Media Group). In total, Bresnan’s businesses have sold for more than $5 billion.
A Director of the NCTA - The Internet and Television Association, Jeff also serves as a Director of the National Cable Satellite Corporation (parent company of C-SPAN) and The Cable Center; he was inducted into the Cable Television Pioneers in 2007. Before joining Bresnan, he was a Senior Manager with the New York City office of KPMG. During his seven-year tenure, he worked with entrepreneurial clients in a variety of industries including radio broadcasting and film syndication. Jeff is a CPA and a business school honors graduate of the University of Alabama.
