Cable Television: The First 50 Years

History of Cable Fifty Years Exhibit

Cable Television: The First 50 Years is a series of sixteen modules that narrate the chronological story and evolution of the first 50 years of the cable industry. This widespread exhibit features such artifacts as slime from Nickelodeon, touchstone cable news moments, photos of early community antenna television (CATV) systems, and highly varied programming from numerous networks. It’s a good bet that if it has anything to do with cable, you can find some mention of it in this exhibit!

Cable Television: The First 50 Years is presented by Cable World Magazine in association with The Cable Center and the National Cable Television Association (NCTA).
