2013-student-ambassadors0625This award honors the memory of Justin DeSorrento by identifying motivated students who are interested in entering the cable industry.  The program funds paid internships, giving students the opportunity to work in cable, learn about industry history, evolution, and current issues, and interact personally with senior-level cable industry executives.

The unique program funds paid internships with major cable companies.  Students are given the opportunity to work in cable, learn about industry history, evolution, and current issues, and interact personally with senior-level cable industry executives.

Kayla Lane Freeman, who graduated from the University of Texas - Austin in May 2013, received the 2010 DeSorrento Award. She interned at Sundance Channel, working as a PA on several shoots for the upcoming show "Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys" and often serving as the link between Sundance Channel and their partner Pickerel Pie Production Co. working hands-on with both companies.
