May 22-23, 2006
The Cable Center, Denver, Colorado
Experts including cable programming and new media executives, ad agencies, gearheads, futurists, business development executives, academic scholars, and other thought-leaders in the digital world, gathered at The Cable Center in Denver May 22-23 for the First Annual Summit on Intellectual Property and Digital Media. Hosted jointly by The Cable Center and University of Denver, the Summit, entitled From Creator to Consumer: Working Together in the Digital World, examined how new delivery channels, and the content created to fill them, are challenging the media business as we know it. The Summit was an intimate forum to foster the exchange of ideas and allow for extensive Q&A, discussion and networking amongst a variety of practitioners from business and academia. This is the first in an annual series of summits which The Cable Center is planning with the goal of creating a center of excellence in this area by advancing the dialogon intellectual property and digital rights management.
