Hurst and Lindstrom received a warm welcome from Purdue faculty and students in the first ever 2-day Mavericks lecture series. 

On April 3-4, 2007, Doug Hurst and Annette Lindstrom were welcomed by students and faculty at Purdue University. Over the course of the two-day program, over three hundred students from departments including Mass Media, Communications and Public Relations had the pleasure of hearing from two of the cable industry’s top executives. 

During their visit, Hurst and Lindstrom met with a group of selected students from the renowned Krannert Business School where they hosted an informal Brown Bag Lunch and Q&A session. 

Hurst, a graduate of Purdue’s Hospitality and Tourism Management Program, visited with current HTM students and faculty to talk about his career path and provide insights into life after graduation. 

Students and faculty alike benefited from the dynamic duos' wealth of knowledge, while Hurst and Lindstrom gained insights from the next generation of viewers.
