On March 26, 2007, Cox Communications President, Pat Esser and MTV Executive Vice President of Affiliate Marketing and Finance, Jessica Heacock, teamed up to present, "Cable Rocks! How Cable is Leading the Media and Telecommunications Boom" at the University of Northern Iowa. Esser, a 1979 UNI graduate, and Heacock met with groups of students and faculty during the day to discuss the impact today's college students are having on the future of broadcast and cable media as well as other topics. "This discussion will help students plan their course of study and internships," said Farzad Moussavi, Dean of the UNI College of Business. "It also will give them a look at a day in the life of entrepeneurs who are leaving their mark on the industry."
