Nomi M. Bergman
Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development
Advance/Newhouse Communications
Nomi Bergman is the Executive Vice President of Strategy and Development for Advance/Newhouse Communications. In this position, Nomi oversees a dynamic team which provides company direction on Broadband Data Services, Advanced Technologies, Strategic Initiatives, Product Development and Partnerships.
Nomi began her career doing computer programming and consulting with Arthur Andersen & Co. Management Information Consulting Division. Her next position was with Advance Publications’ Systems Group, where she did similar consulting work with the Newhouse properties, including The New Yorker Magazine, The Mobile Press Register, The Newark Star Ledger, The Times of Trenton, and the Newhouse cable companies. Through these projects, Nomi became increasingly involved with IT, billing, and operations for the Newhouse cable operations (Vision Cable, NewChannels, and MetroVision). After the Time Warner/Advance Newhouse partnership formed, Nomi worked in TWC’s Charlotte Division in several capacities, including oversight of the Division’s high speed data deployment as Vice President and General Manager of High Speed Data Services. In 2002, Nomi assumed her current position with Advance/Newhouse Communications, corporate headquarters for Bright House Networks.
A graduate of the first Betsy Magness Leadership Development Program (BMLI) class, Nomi is an avid supporter of the program and its objectives.
She continues to be involved with WICT as well as CableLabs, NCTA, SCTE, and CTAM. Nomi was recognized for her industry contributions with the WICT and SCTE’s “2004 Women in Technology” Award, and Multichannel News recognized her as a “2005 Wonder Woman.”
Nomi holds a B.A. degree in Economics and Statistics from the University of Rochester. She currently resides in Fayetteville, New York, with her husband, Neal, and three daughters, Rebecca, Dori, and Allison.
