On October 5, 2005, The Cable Center kicked off the Cable Mavericks Lecture Series at Fordham University with cable executives Susan Packard, President of International Development and Affiliate Sales for Scripps Networks and Chad Youngblood, Vice President of On-Air Promotions for HGTV.
The dynamic team’s presentation taught students about building and maintaining television brands, and made bold predictions about branding in a new media environment. With a strong mix of humor and tactical strategy, Susan and Chad walked students through the process of building brands that connect with passionate and loyal viewers and how HGTV grew to become a leading lifestyle brand. Students and faculty from Fordham’s MBA program as well as neighboring schools Columbia and NYU were in attendance.
