Original Abel Cable Drawings »

"We make such beautiful TV together!" This hand drawn storybook and advertisement feature original sketches of Abel Cable and Ima Set.  These early marketing characters were developed by the National Cable Television Association in 1956 and express the playful and fun-loving spirit of the pioneers of cable. The Center's manuscript collection showcases many original drawings like these, capturing the evolution of cable advertising.
