As you might expect, the rich and colorful
history of the cable telecommunications industry
has generated a rich and colorful collection
of memorabilia—a sometimes quirky collection
that may tell as much about the evolution
of cable and the individuality of its members
as the official histories do.
The Barco Library has received more than
2,000 items from the cable industry that
commemorate people, companies, events, and
marketing materials produced by the industry.
Among the items in the Memorabilia Collection
are mugs, posters, clothing, press kits,
and conference give-aways.
We’re grateful to the many individuals
and organizations who have given us material
for this collection.
The generous donations of individuals,
vendors, manufacturers, operators, engineers,
and industry pioneers have made this incredibly
rich and varied collection possible. Please
