At The Cable Center we respect your right to privacy and we understand that, as a visitor to cablecenter.org, you prefer to control your own personal information and preferences. For this reason, we may ask you to register or to provide personal information and preferences when you request information, register for an event, purchase a product, or download documents.
When you provide The Cable Center with your name (or alias), email address, mailing address, or telephone number, The Cable Center and The Cable Center’s representatives may use the provided information to alert you to events, programs, or activities related to The Cable Center or the cable industry. Additionally, your information may be used to solicit donations to support The Cable Center. The Cable Center does not offer or allow the selling of any user-provided information to third parties.
If you do not want The Cable Center or The Cable Center’s representatives to contact you, you may “opt out” of this preference at any time by contacting The Cable Center. USE OF LOG FILES AND COOKIES
The Cable Center remembers you by placing a log file (cookie) that contains only enough information to identify you upon return visits. A “cookie” is a small like of text that is stored with your web browser for record-keeping purposes and helps The Cable Center to provide better service to you. Your browser has options to accept, reject, or provide you with notice when a cookie is sent.
No information, other than that found in The Cable Center cookie, will be accessed by any system of The Cable Center.
The Cable Center also utilizes visitor log files (cookies) and hosted tracking with our website. Once a user enters our site, a cookie follows the user’s click stream path. HOW THE CABLE CENTER PROTECTS YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
The Cable Center will protect the personal information that you share with us. The Cable Center stores information at a third-party hosting facility in a controlled, secure environment. If, for example, you make a purchase online, we route all transactions through SSL (Secure Socket Layers) and will process your credit card number only to secure your current payment. The SSL transaction will not use your credit card number for marketing purposes.
We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, including packaging, mailing and delivering purchases or requested materials, sending postal mail, sending bulk email, soliciting donations, and processing event registrations.
