Our goal is to build an endowment that allows us to be self-sustaining, supporting our operational and administrative needs. According to Bill Bresnan, “The $10 million will carry the basic overhead, so we can be sure that The Cable Center will be able to operate without any additional funding ad infinitum.” Bresnan adds, “It guarantees a certain permanency for The Cable Center.”
Our programs and services will, of course, change as our industry’s needs evolve, perhaps affecting our operational and administrative make up. If The Cable Center adds programs in the future or adopts a special initiative, they will be self-sustaining.
You can support the Chairman’s Campaign with an outright gift, a pledge gift, a gift of stock, or through your personal IRA retirement account as long as you meet the minimum age requirements.
Campaign Chair Bill Bresnan has made a $500,000 challenge gift to the campaign.
Bill will match all $50,000 gifts up to the $500,000. As a special recognition incentive, all patrons who donate $50,000 or more will be invited to join the Chairman’s Circle and receive exclusive invitations to Cable Center-sponsored events.
The Chairman’s Campaign launched in January of this year with a lead gift of $1 million from The Comcast Foundation
