Donor Honor Rolls

Men and women throughout the cable industry have come together to create The Cable Center—a living legacy to an industry that inspires instantaneous communications unparalleled in human history. The Center celebrates cable's heritage while looking to the future of the industry. All donors who give until the closure of the education campaign are acknowledged as a member of the Third Millennium Society for the total amount given whether given as one gift or multiple gifts to different programs.

Donor Honor Roll
Third Millennium Society »
The Third Millennium Society encompasses every gift made to The Center—from one dollar to several million dollars. As every donor is important to achieving our mission, we feel it is equally important to recognize the people, organizations, and companies who help to ensure our success. It is a small way of showing our gratitude for each of our donors.

Capital Campaign »

To house our world-class information and education resources, we needed a centralized headquarters.  From 1997-2003, the Capital Campaign raised over $60 million toward this goal.  These donations not only built our facilities, but launched many initial programs and helped to recruit an experienced and professional staff.

Education Campaign Honor Roll »
The Education Campaign will create permanent funds supporting The Cable Center’s operations, educational programs, and technology. Contributions toward this giving campaign are placed in Beverly O’Brien Endowment for the Third Millennium. Launched in 2004, our current giving campaign continues to reach toward this $65.5 million fundraising goal.

Legacy Honor Roll »
The foundation of The Cable Center was built during the Legacy Campaign, which ran from 1985-1996. The corporations, individuals, and organizations that made contributions to The Center as Legacy donors were inspired by the very idea of archiving the cable’s milestone moments and educating others about cable’s cultural and technical achievements.

Founding Shareholders Honor Roll »
The Cable Center’s Founding Shareholders are donors who have contributed toward establishing our general operating endowment. Spanning the three giving campaigns, Education, Capital, and Legacy, these donors are ensuring our future financial stability and growth. Each share represents a $100 investment in our mission, programs, and sustainability.

The Loyal Order of the 704 is the society of cable engineering pioneers named after the Jerrold 704 Field Strength Meter. True to its founders, the Order has named The Cable Center’s freight elevator shaft.
