President and Chief Executive Officer
Jana L. Henthorn is President and CEO of The Cable Center, an educational non-profit organization created by the cable/broadband industry for the global community that chronicles the significant contributions the industry has made to technology, society and culture. Jana leads The Cable Center’s mission to connect people and ideas to advance innovation.
Some of the programs that are driven by this mission include the Cable Hall of Fame, honoring industry pioneers; the Cable Center’s Customer Care Committee (C5), a consortium of customer experience executives from the largest operators in North America, South America and Europe; the Oral/Video History program, the only repository of first-hand stories about the creation and expansion of the cable industry; and the Center’s latest initiative, Community of Innovators (COI).
For Community of Innovators, Jana’s knowledge and expertise in the business enables her to create the bridge between cable’s entrepreneurial past and its innovative future. COI serves three constituent groups – motivated students, the startup community and the industry’s rising stars. COI’s core component, the Intrapreneurship Academy (IA), aims to empower rising stars in the industry to become “Intrapreneurs” – to effect change and innovation within their organizations.
President and CEO of The Cable Center since January 2016, Jana brings more than 30 years of experience from all corners of the industry to her position. Prior to The Cable Center, she managed the network sales team for 16 states and two regional offices as Vice President of Affiliate Sales for A&E Television Networks.
