Cable Center INTX Panel Discusses the Fusion Approach and How it Can Reinvigorate the Subscription Economy

DENVER, May 12, 2016The Cable Center announced today that it will present a panel discussion on the subscription economy and how “learning from others” can be used to reinvent customer service and reinvigorate a company’s bottom line by during the National Cable & Telecommunications Association’s (NCTA) Internet and Television Expo (INTX), at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center. Add Fusion and Stir: The Creative Magic of Blended Thinking ... And How You Can Prosper From It will be held Tuesday, May 17, from 11 a.m. – 12p.m. EST in room East 3 at the INTX Marketplace. The session will be followed by a lunch, sponsored by American Express, for attendees and invited guests in The Grove.

“Customer experience and customer care are top priorities in the subscription economy, and a primary area of focus for The Cable Center,” said Jana L. Henthorn, president and CEO, The Cable Center. “We are eager to hear from American Express and pleased to welcome panelists from Comcast, Netcracker Technology and Nexidia during this informative and dynamic session.”

The session will begin with a presentation by Dr. Charles Patti, Cox Chair in Customer Experience Management at The Cable Center and former Dean of the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business, who will share a summary of The Center’s subscription economy study. A short presentation by American Express will follow, offering insights gained from their service benchmarking and transformation efforts, and how premium service delivery drives positive business outcomes.

Moderated by Dr. Patti, the panel will then discuss how the concept of fusion has reinvented and reinvigorated industries; best practices from companies that have adopted the fusion approach; and key learnings about innovation within the subscription economy.

“Industries such as medicine, music and transportation have benefited tremendously from embracing diverse concepts and creating something new, original and vital from them, and it is vitally important for media and communications companies to understand how they can benefit from these ideas as well,” said Dr. Patti.
