With a prize package valued at $100,000 in cash, services, and product, the sixth annual Denver Startup Week Pitch Challenge will showcase the best ideas and the brightest startups from Denver’s innovation community.

DENVER – Denver Startup Week, the largest free entrepreneurial event of its kind, returns to Downtown Denver for a seventh year September 24 through 28, 2018. For its second year, The Cable Center will be sponsoring, in partnership with University of Denver’s Project X-ITE, the Denver Startup Week Pitch Challenge, a two-day pitch competition for six finalists to contend for the winning title.

Out of more than 100 video submissions, 20 applicants have been selected as semi-finalists and are now available for online viewing. The Denver community is invited to vote on the 20 semi-finalists online until September 24, when they will be narrowed down to six finalists. These six finalists will then pitch live at Denver Startup Week on September 26 from 4-7 p.m. (location TBD; please check the event schedule for updates and more information). The champion will be crowned at the final Pitch Challenge on September 27 from 4-6pm at Basecamp, located at 1245 Champa Street, Denver, CO, 80204. The winner will receive over $100,000 in cash and prizes.

“We’re thrilled to have The Cable Center as a Pitch Challenge sponsor for a second consecutive year, and look forward to the much anticipated pitch competition later this month,” said Rye Finegan, manager of Denver Startup Week & Innovation Programs at Downtown Denver Partnership.

“As advocates of innovation and entrepreneurship, The Cable Center is proud to support Denver Startup Week and the Pitch Challenge, whose panel of judges includes cable industry executives and moguls,” said Cable Center President and CEO, Jana Henthorn. “We love being a part of the entrepreneurial spirit here in Denver!”

Be sure to view the 20 semi-finalist videos online and cast your votes by September 24. Denver Startup Week also welcomes the community to attend the Pitch Challenge semifinals on September 26 and the finals on September 27.
